Tonight Nat, Seah and I hit the Burger Shack & Island Cremery where we had way too  much Pingpongmilo, Seah issued his 3 golden lines of the night (MISTER HOOPER FTW), and we laughed way too much way too loudly.

Pete came to join us then we vroom-vroomed to law campus to join the lawless Miche & Cheryl (yeah ok, failed pun). Abused the law computers to watch youtube videos of hedgehogs squirming in water, sleeping babies and expose the R theory on facebook.

In other news, my hair is gone. It is going to take forever to grow back and therefore I have to really  work with whatever I have left of it. Hahaha. YJ has a serious short hair fetish so at the very least I made him a really happy man today :)

Tobaye baked this really awesome cake, topped with icing and fruit loops.

We played I Never & Rhyming lines & a chinese word game so that we could finish the entire cake.. WOW I’m surprised we actually did :O

As a result, I have WAY TOO MUCH cake lodged in my stomach as of now. It made slightly woozy halfway during service.

For half an hour or so I was on livestreaming in the I-house game room, watching a Karaoke session go on in the dark with Yong, Jiwon & friends, inclusive of Quen on the guitar.

I just realised I have heaps of work to do by TOMORROW MORNING zomg and its already 6pm. But I desperately need a nap and thats what I am going to do after I post this. Full speed ahead tonight!

GBC 50TH ANNIVERSARY: The bash

Our formal celebration of our church’s 50th jubilee year at Meritus Mandarin :) Here are a few snaps to summarize the different components of the afternoon..

This is the WCG girls table! Note the chaotic candid expressions. I love how Auntie Aitho is captured in the last photo trying to dodge from the shot. Haha!

And this, a series of unfortunate events.

1. Jon with too much foundation on (he was in a skit) and doing one of his weird facemelting movements which in this case proved fatalistic and something he will eternally regret.
2. A failed GM-HL photo because POONETH crashed it. HAHA.
3. J is for Jaebum and N is for Nichkhun! But my N is inverted :(
4. Poor photographers subject to the various shoving of cameras and “EH HELP ME TAKE PHOTO!!” demands.
5. Brothers with premature beer bellies.
6. A lost friend found! (Ok this is not an unfortunate event).

And our last series of photos shall be entitled, Who will Gideon choose? In this series, we explore how Gideon, the drunkard groom, wakes up to find that he has left behind a trail of white flowers to four different girls, of which appear the next morning seeking his acceptance and hand of marriage. Why hello.

Why hello there.

According to Jon, that is what my face is conveying in this GMJ polaroid. This was taken a looong while back, at our Sentosa Sun Sea Skype GBC youth expedition. Good times, good times. I confess that this morning I was too lazy to wake up at a godforsaken hour to meet the rest of the NUS gang in an ulu mrt station so that we could troop down to the Mandai Zoo. I mean, I love the zoo; I think the Singapore zoo is one of the best (even after going to the San Diego WORLD FAMOUS ZOO!) but I would also very much prefer my bed of comfort and an airconditioned ride.. yeah not happening. Sorry guys :(

Instead, I have decided that today is Job Hunt day. It’s only like what – 2 plus weeks till school starts? But firstly I am too idle, secondly I need my extra cash because I am practically living off my scholarship money and it is dimishing rapidly, and thirdly because my new motto for the semester is play less, work more, earn money the most. HAHAHA okay not quite, but something along the lines of study real hard and work to earn and save and be frugal at the same time. Yeah, usually my resolve runs out by the second week. But hey, new beginnings!

Welcome Wees

THE WEES CAME TO VISIT THE WEES CAME TO VISIT THE WEES CAME TO VISIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS WAS LAST MONDAY. AND WAS PROBABLY ONE OF THE MOST EXCITING DAYS OF MY LIFE. 1. THE WEES CAME TO VISIT ok I said that already 2. PARALLEL LIVES INTERSECTING AGAINNNN 3. I get to see the Wee family in action out of church 4. HELLO JON YOU HAVE BEEN REALLY MASSIVELY MISSED.

They were waiting for me outside Ihouse, and when I got to the front and saw them it was really a I CANNOT BELIEVE MY EYES moment like seriously SO UNREAL seeing them there!! AND I COULDNT STOP LAUGHING and I saw Jon and he couldn’t stop laughing and both of us were laughing like idiots and I think the rest of the family thought I was mad. But honestly I was kinda laughing and crying. But laughing more so that the crying wouldn’t be obvious. SO THRILLED seriously. SO HAPPY! :D D :D

Okay a summary of things that we did that day.

1. YOGURT PARK. Of course, and I made the SAME retarded mistake of buying the small size which is so not small I should’ve gotten MINI.

2. Lunch at HOUSE OF CURRIES, which is the BEST naan place intheworld I’m not even kidding. I haven’t even had such good naan in Singapore. Twas a fantastic meal.

3. VISIT IHOUSE AND MY ROOM. As you can see from the photo. Ahaha Auntie Soo Jong spent alot of time talking to Jackie cos her mom knows Jackie’s mom and meanwhile Jon and I and UNCLE MICHAEL WEE HAHAHA were just ravaging the corridors taking multiexposure photos and visiting the toilets. Omytian so fun.

4. Took a GMJ photo along Telegraph, with the GMO MONSTER!!!

5. Short tour around Berkeley! Taking photos with really nice buildings and the famous Berkeley clock tower.

6. I brought Jon to where he belongs, Rasputin Music. Hohoho.

Ahahaha this was while I was taking them around campus. WHEELER HALL. And look how I have become part of the Wee family. HURHURHUR.

Okay best pictures for last. This is SUCH A HILARIOUS photo but it doesnt not capture the EXTREME hilarity of the moment. HERE COMES UNCLE MICHAEL WEE moment down the corridor of the 7th floor hallway. HHAHAHAHAA omgosh I cannot take it. So funny. And now that I think about it, gosh, they were actually here!?! Like, IN MY CORRIDOR!?!? IN THE IHOUSE. Aiyoma so unreal can.

Felt so good seeing people not just from home, but from church back home, which is even better. Ahhh. It was truly, an epic day.

AND TARNIA’S RETARDED “ART CLUB IS NOT HELPING” and random plasters!?!? HAHAHA. The videos were SO RETARDED omged why does everyone look so sad and gloomy like they are going to die!?!?!?! RIDIKULOUS. I laughed like crazy at GMHL though. AND GMJ OF COURSE.

These two bits of the mail really made my day…

1. A birthday wish from UNCLE MICHAEL WEE NONETHELESS. HAHAHAHA. I totally burst out laughing – and 2. Jon’s attempt at “GENERIC PERSON” blowing coloured smoke. Not meant to refer to anything in particular, apparently. AHA.

DEAR SHAWNA, I got your ANGPAO letter and it made me laugh and cry and sad and happy all at once, and yes it did make me feel like I was back in the SS classrooms when you described it. Alas there is so much I wish to tell you in response but yet so little I feel I should, because I really want you to discover things along the way yourself.. and actually discover God most of all. BE STRONG, WOMAN. REMEMBER: POWER!!!!!! Pls remember that you can always just mailz me to rant and stuff if you need to ogays. My table has tons of photos of all you girls so I think of you guys and say a little prayer for you guys every day :)

And this will probably cheer you up a little bit.

Jackie and I have been trying to pack for tomorrow but we keep getting stuck. And I just went down to the printing room to print all the documents I hope I don’t forget anything. This afternoon we went to the bookstores to check out maps and the boys bought AN ATLAS omged. Tmr before 7pm we depart, and I really hope we make it to the first destination in one piece. HAHAHAHA. So it begins.

SUPERSTAR

Two hours of adrenalinepumping worryfree carpediem moments gingerly imprinted somewhere in our rustic fragile human minds, but sealed in neon lights and grainy pixels. Oh the irony. And oh the joy of momentary lapse of reason where we live for the moment (and the camera) :)
